If you’re taking your Nintendo Switch 2 with you over the holiday break, it’s likely you’ve already thought well and hard about the accessories you’ll pack with it, and thumb grips deserve high up on that list. The small silicon extras are super compact and can be stored in most cases, and can make your hours of playing games by the Netflix log-fire over the holidays a far more comfortable experience.
Their greatest benefit has to be their price, as they can typically be found for around the $10 price mark. However, today the Jsaux Thumb Grips for the Nintendo Switch 2 3-pack happens to be down to $8.99 at Amazon, right in time for you to add them to your luggage for the Christmas break. I’ve got these very Switch 2 accessories sitting in my Switch 2 case and my Joy-Con controller sticks, and I won’t be relaxing with a glass of Baileys and catching shinys in the Pokemon Legends Z-A DLC without them next week. The holidays can’t come soon enough.

Save $1 – It just so happens the Jsaux thumb grips are $1 off today, but I’d recommend them even without this tiny saving. These grips come in a pack of three, with different levels of elevation so you can find the perfect pair and optimal comfort for your Switch 2 gaming needs. By grabbing this thumb grip set this holiday season, you’re gaining a trio of different-sized grips that can help protect your Switch 2 Joy-Con sticks from harm and add an extra layer of comfort and precision so you can game with confidence over the holiday season.
Thumb grips aren’t the most exciting purchase you can make for your Nintendo Switch 2, but if you don’t find the Joy-Con controllers comfortable this generation, I highly recommend you grab a set this holiday season, or whenever you can really. It just so happens that today is a perfect time, as this $8.99 Jsaux Thumb grips set is an absolute bargain. Especially when you consider you’re getting three pairs for the same price as other brands like GeekShare have for just one set of grips.
The reason there are three in this pack is that they differ in height and comfort. My favorite of the three is the high-rise set, which elevates the sticks to an extra 7mm. While that might sound a bit hard to get used to, the added elevation makes running around in Pokemon Legends Z-A a lot easier, as there’s more space around the grip for my thumb to swiftly push it in any given direction. Typically, the flatness of the existing Joy-Con sticks feels pretty limiting, but this tiny bit of height allows me to make more precise movements and has given me less strain on my joints over time.

If that doesn’t sound like your thing, you can instead make use of the first pair in the set, which are almost as flat as the existing stick covers of the Switch 2. You may then be thinking, what’s the point ot them existing at all? However, having any grips can keep your existing sticks protected from everyday wear and tear, and they provide a rubberized grippy surface, which makes them a lot easier to move around.
The great thing about this pack, besides its current $8.99 discounted price, is that you can try out the three types and see which you prefer and stick to that. Other brands, like GeekShare and KontrolFreek, can charge between $9.99 – $21.99 for one pair, so you’re getting a lot of variety here, which makes it a great beginner pack for those curious about one of my all-time favorite modern gaming accessories.
