It’s one of the buzziest questions in the games industry right now: How much will Grand Theft Auto 6cost at launch? Some analysts have claimed that 2026’s most anticipated sequel will be the tipping point for $99 video games becoming mainstream. Others say Rockstar Games would be better served by charging a more palatable $70, widely considered the default price for AAA releases in recent years. A lot of people seem to care deeply about the answer to this question, given the number of articles written about it. But I am not one of those people.
